Crossing Thresholds came at the right time for me as I wanted a new challenge and a job change, but wasn’t sure how to go about it.
The 5 modules gave me real focus and direction, and I made the most of the resources and support around me. The tutors were very informative and motivating and delivered the course with passion which made it very engaging and interesting. My mentor was also very supportive and motivating and it really helped me to have somebody independent to talk to on a 1:1 basis.
Talking to other people increased my appetite for change and development. I was at a stage in my career when I felt ready for a radical move. During my 12 months on the course I applied for 3 new jobs and was successful at achieving 2 of these jobs on promotion. I could not believe just how much confidence going on the course gave me and made me believe in myself. The support was incredible and I have kept in touch with my peer group. It’s lovely to hear all about their successes.
I have met some really interesting people; learnt a lot, had shadowing opportunities, personal 1:1 mentor support, time out to focus on me away from my job, enhanced my skills in presenting, networking, knowledge sharing, and improved my interview techniques. I made some good friends and achieved promotion. It was probably the most productive 12 months of my career as far as development and stepping outside my comfort zone!
